"A Queens icon: Louis Armstrong, The Man and His Music" with the legendary Jazz musician Jimmy Owens
This will be a lecture and a musical demonstration about the impact that Louis Armstrong had on American music, the culture of Jazz and how his roots in New Orleans transformed music in America.
Mr. Owens will demonstrate the phraseology that came forth from Louis Armstrong that forever changed the way vocalist sang Jazz along with vocalist, Jennifer Jade Ledesna.
